Our new Scattergood designs are featured at the pool where Winston Churchill swam, sans his famous top hat, when he visited Eleanor Roosevelt’s cottage in Hyde Park, New York.

Alliances were discussed as the world sought unity. Eleanor’s humble idyll and gracious hospitality helped bring about that world peace.

We celebrate Eleanor’s work and words about unity and peace in our new collection, shown above in our new client favourites, the Scattergood designs, featured in our new Unity palette and weaves.

The designs’ intentions — to scatter good wherever you go — tip a hat to the historic meetings that took place at Eleanor’s cottage where world leaders determined how to scatter good worldwide.

What we choose to wear each day is a declaration. What will your declaration be?

Go-to frock of the season

This just shipped out…

Clothing by Ivey Abitz.
This just shipped to an Ivey Abitz client.

The Addy in plaid, as well as our other frocks, have been the go-to frock of the season. Here’s another ensemble that was just made for a client, combining our Foggy Cotton Velvet Corduroy with our Foggy/Black Soft Plaid Cotton. A Baedeker Scarf in our Signature Black Ribbed Weave is as comfortable and versatile as it is lovely draped around the neck. The bias cut pleating in our Mathilda designs feature the variegated cording in the cotton velvet, making a striking addition to the ensemble.

Look of Loyalty

Loyal dog with well dressed woman.
Cynthia and Evie wearing the Look of Loyalty

I snapped this on a Sunday walk thru Central Park. Cynthia (left) is wearing the Blanchefleur Duster Coat over the Fennefleur Frock with boots from the Vintage Shoe Company. Evie is wearing her custom made sweater from a knitter in upstate New York. The “Look of Loyalty” theme for this first collection of 2013 is actually a permanent theme of Ivey Abitz life. And I was amazed at how this scene was like one of Cynthia’s watercolor looks brought to life:
